A good mid 19th century camphor wood leather bound travel trunk / chest with brass studded decoration and shield shaped escutcheon - central engraved initials to nameplate. These Chinese export trunks were mainly made in the East for European travellers. Camphor being a natural insect repellent favourable for travels.
