An early 19th century mahogany chest of good proportions made in two sections for ease of access and transport with heavy brass carrying handles to the sides. The frieze above the drawers crossbanded in mahogany and edged in with boxwood and ebony stringing. Original brass handles to the pine lined drawers. The top located with dowels to the underside (dovetails can be seen of construction to top and base of carcass)
