These
items are from our “Cotswold Gateway” collection of hand crafted
furniture - this range
includes refectory tables, farm house tables, drop leaf and gate leg
tables, dressers with racks, dresser bases, bookcases and pairs of bed
side cabinets.
All
the above can be made to customer’s own specifications in varying
shades of oak or in fruitwood. Generally the item seen in our showroom
can be purchased with immediate delivery and the bespoke furniture
will take 4/8 weeks. Tables can be made to any size, for example we
make a 14ft Refectory Table with a thick top that will comfortably
seat up to 14 people.

All
finishing is also done by hand, with many painstaking processes of
ageing and polishing and finally “cut back” and waxed. Again,
finishing is flexible, any level of distressing can be achieved.
Our
range of chairs are not crafted in our workshops, these chairs have
been sourced from extremely well established suppliers who understand
the complicated demands of chair production, they are bought “in the
white” allowing us to achieve our own finish to match tables and
dressers. Chairs can be purchased in sets of any number – with or
without carvers and are priced individually. We can upholster seats in
your fabric if necessary.

Items
can be made in light (straw) oak / medium / golden / dark oak and in
cherry wood or possibly in timber supplied by you.
A range of sample
colours and finishes available or we can colour match to suit your requirements
.
We
have wood samples for “colour choice” -
however colour matching can be achieved with appropriate
samples and you may wish, for example,
to bring in a drawer that can then be given to the cabinetmaker
for him to copy the colour, patination and level of distressing.

The
timber we use is carefully seasoned and dried using kilning methods to
achieve reasonable moisture content. The beauty of the timber used is
enhanced by the tremendous variation in the grain, each piece of wood,
as is each tree it originated from, is quite different from another.
Thus making each individual piece of furniture unique, and no two
items identical.
